Inclined towards working with clay since 1998, Joyce Loo embarked on her creative career in 2007, when she gave up her lucrative job to pursue her passion in arts. Joyce’s artworks display her strong affinity with nature and the earth, and she creates clay sculptural forms that are inspired by flora and fauna. A self-taught artist of great ingenuity, her works are a visual harmony of colours, textures and a composition of her sensibilities towards nature.
Joyce has been represented at several local and international exhibitions in Japan, the Cannakkale University Fine Arts of Turkey in 2008, The Art Student League of New York in 2014, in Taipei, Taiwan in 2015, at Chang Chun Sculpture Museum in 2016, China and New Delhi, India 2018. Her first solo exhibition “My Eden” was held at the Fort Canning Park in 2010 followed by her second solo exhibition “Embrace” at Viridian Art House. Her artworks continue to be bought and collected by Museums in Singapore and China, by government agencies as well as corporate and private collectors.
