Painter and musician, Francesco D’Adamo was born in Siena in 1979 and has lived and worked in Bologna, Italy since 2006. The research of his paintings is rooted in Italian informalism and American abstract expressionism, with particular emphasis on the continuous dialogue between visual and musical language. The strokes and their rhythm, layered surfaces, a strong palette and the use of different techniques, all flow together to create a lyrical and yet deeply concrete image.
His move to Bologna in 2006 saw a return to painting as a constant and fundamental presence in his life, and over time gradually became his main activity. In the years that followed he held his first series of exhibitions in the city and participated in various art fairs and events all over Asia and Europe.
Since 2006 he has been working and experimenting with the creation of his own language in his studio in San Giovanni, Persiceto. He continues his musical interests as a member of the experimental band Nono Cerchio, giving performances in Italy and North America.
